In the good old days (of your mom and/or your grandmother as the case maybe), gay make-up artists are virtually unheard of, and beauticians (as they were called back then) are mostly good looking female make-up artists visiting one’s home to do personal services on special occassions.

‘Mary’ Claire wanted a Maria Clara look for her engagement pictorial with Gerry last week when they flew in to Bohol from Los Angeles, CA. It’s an early pictorial for them since they will be getting married in LA on September 2010.

Remember this light painting from Sheila, my Las Vegas bride, which I posted last January 2008?

Well last Thursday, I attended Charlie Lim’s Master Class during our WPPP Photo Congress session and he showed his style of light painting ala Rembrandt style.

He also told us not just to learn by simply copying other people’s work but to improve on them.
So I just had a wedding Friday yesterday and did this light painting for Michelle and Obet, but I did it w/ a twist, I didn’t do it in full darkness . . .

. . .

I will be attending an event in Dubai around the 3rd week of July.
Although it will be the heat of summer during those times, couples may wish to have some engagement pictorials during the sunset hours and onwards when it will be a lot cooler.

‘Focusing’ on Arlene . . .

And back again to some more postnup pictorials (taken on a separate day from the previous postnup . . . I am generous w/ my US-based couples). The Houston I thought of seeing is the country ranch type of Texas I see on film, the reality is Houston is the 4th biggest city and most of the sights I saw was urban. This location below is just next to an outlet mall, near the parking area and across the suburbs (of course you won’t see that here :)

My favorite is still this back shot (far from the typical back shot during the bride’s walk down the aisle). ‘Replaying’ this photo in a larger size.

Part 3 (if I can find the time again) are the candids from Arlene and Gary’s wedding day.

We were blessed with good weather during Arlene and Gary’s engagement, wedding and postnup pictorials in Houston, Texas . . . it was not too cold nor too hot during their wedding week.

Seldom blogging now (still building a new site) but am featuring Arlene and Gary’s Houston inspired pictorial (slowly, one layout at a time when time permits).
