Photojourn + Fashion = Miggs & Tza, The Photo Video

Just finished Miggs and Tza's photo video, it was their turn on queue.
Theirs is an upbeat video, with lots of photos starting early in the day (our call time was 4am, their wedding was at 8am) until around 4pm in the afternoon (when we finished their post wedding fashion shoot).
Note the following when you watch the video:
a) Tza's brass accessories - at first, I really didn't appreciate nor understood the effect of such brass metals in a bride's wedding outfit...until Tza wore them together w/ her simple yet elegant gown. She became a goddess like Athena! Great concept!
b) Miggs attire - not every groom can carry a no socks outfit, but Miggs carefully selected all his clothing attire & shoes to become one of the best dressed groom I've ever seen.
c) It's also my first time to show receptions group shots in my presentation, because theirs is not the usual traditional standing group shots - they had a sofa where friends and relatives can sit and pose comfortably in a laid back atmosphere.
d) Fashion shoots all throughout the day - during preps, at the church and in their hotel after the reception.

Truly another My Style Wedding couple!

A True Coffeetable Art Book

Finally, I have found a supplier that met my standards for a true coffeetable art book. Roel (my US photographer/IT friend) referred my to a US supplier, so upon arriving back to the Philippines, I finished Abby & Jaime's album and immediately sent an order to have my first demo album made. The album just arrived this week and it passed all my expectations.

A descriptive quote from the supplier
"This album offers the highest quality in the coffee table book line. Its pages have a laminate protective coating in either a Matte or a Glossy finish to preserve its appearance for years to come. It also features a printed book jacket and exclusive black or red book case with personalized silver hot stamping."

My clients now have 2 choices for premium albums: the traditional high quality premium album or the lighter modern coffeetable album.

2. Premium Album

More of Jeng's Photo Video Links

Exploring other ways of presenting Jeng's photovideo:

1) www.renegaviola.com/jeng/jeng.html (final version - 13.5MB)
- the original link, approx download time 3mins on most DSLs

2) www.renegaviola.com/jeng/jeng_wmv.html (12.7MB)
- converted the video to be microsoft player compatible
- www.renegaviola.com/jeng/jeng.wmv (to download the file)

3) www.renegaviola.com/jeng/jeng.3gp (1.4MB)
- converted the video to play on most cellular phones

4) www.renegaviola.com/jeng/showit (beta version)
- the other software in "demo" mode, fast but with less panning capabilities (plus a couple of bugs here and there probably because I haven't bought the software yet)

Need your comments, evaluations and preferences for future presentations.
Thanks in advance for those who will volunteer.

I've watched this video around 50x already since I started making it and I never got tired of the music, the photos, the timing, sequence and the funny ending. Like my other works, it truly gives me a great sense of joy and accomplishment knowing I've done my best and have met my own personal standards. It takes time for me to do each project but rest assured that I give each creation my full attention (and obsession) 'til the very end. :)

Jeng & Jeff - Love Ko 'To

Aside from my editorial type of presentations, some of my recent presentations are of the art gallery type while some are shown using the final album layout.

This time around, I am presenting a photo slideshow w/ some background music to create another kind of ambience.

Jeng and Jeff is a fun couple and I thought it is just appropriate that my first photo slideshow
will be about them.

Alternative Photography - Fashion Style

"My Wedding, My Style, My Character", this being my slogan, I do what the client asks me to do. I prefer photojourn style mixed w/ some classy portraitures but the final album (and the set of photos I take) really depends on the materials at hand during the wedding day.

In wpja.com, there's a section called Creative Portraiture for photojournalists to showcase their unique portraiture style. I am planning to revise my site to have my own Creative Portraiture section but in the meantime, I thought of sharing with you 3 photos from Miggs and Tza's wedding. [Take note that Miggs and Tza is a real couple on a real wedding. It is against the standards of wpja to post photos of models taken during workshops.]

Not all weddings should look the same. Real weddings, real brides (more slogans, hehe)

You may click on each photo to get a bigger view. I also used Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS) to add more drama. CLS means using remote flashes to simulate studio type of lighting (w/o the heavy equipment and plugs).
