WPPP Summer Photo Camp - Baguio City (Apr 24-26)

I am on my first year as a probationary member of our local WPPP (new members have to pass through 3 years probationary period before becoming regular members; also membership is by invitation/recommendation only and I was endorsed by my senior Sir Edwin Tuyay).

My first assignment (along with other probys) was to do the documentation of Summer Photo Camp in Baguio.

From preparations in day 1:

The presentation of models . . .

The On-The-Spot Photo Contest during Day 2 . . .

And finally the judging, awarding and the group pictorials for day 3:

There were 2 contests for the event, 12 winners for the delegates and another 12 for WPPP members (both regular and probationaries). Many probationary WPPP members were in the top 12. I was lucky to be one of them. I submitted the photo below while doing my documentation homework. Although most entries are (scripted) portraitures I wanted to submit a photo representing my photojournalistic style . . . this one was taken when I was in "sniper" mode.

Nice pics. I like the bride sniper one. So strange you mention Edwin Tuyay. He was the only other choice I had in mind as my wedding photographer before I came across you. :-)

Hi Lara! Sir Edwin is one of the best but at the same time one of the most humble and approachable photographer in town. I am really glad and blessed to have met and worked with him.
